JABtalk is no longer on the Google Play Store

JABtalk has been retired from the Google Play Store and is no longer actively maintained. First released in 2012, it ran for over a decade and was used by hundreds of thousands of people around the world. The app continues to work on Android devices and the APK is still freely available to download and sideload.

How to get JABtalk

You can still install JABtalk on any Android device by downloading the APK directly and sideloading it. Here’s how:

  1. Download the APK Download the latest version of JABtalk directly from GitHub: ⬇️ Download JABtalk v5.3.2
  2. Allow installs from unknown sources On your Android device, go to Settings → Security (or Settings → Apps → Special app access → Install unknown apps on newer Android versions) and enable installation from your browser or file manager.
  3. Open the downloaded file Open the APK file from your downloads folder or browser notification and tap Install.
  4. Open JABtalk Once installed, JABtalk will appear in your app drawer and work as it always has.
